摘要

The deltopectoral flap is a pedicled axial fasciocutaneous flap that became popularized by Bakamjian in the 1960s for head and neck reconstruction. The more recently described cervicodeltopectoral (CDP) flap by Ducic provides increased versatility in comparison to the deltopectoral flap by incorporating associated cervical skin and platysma in addition to the typical deltopectoral flap and allows single-stage reconstruction. Since CDP flap can be unreliable for reconstruction of intraoral or pharyngeal defects with salivary exposure, it is best suited for external skin defect reconstruction of the head and neck regions due to ideal skin pigmentation match.
