Enhancing Education and Well-Being Through Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges
摘要
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the landscapes of education and personal well-being, offering innovative solutions that promise to revolutionize traditional practices. This research paper delves into the transformative impact of AI across these critical sectors, emphasizing its capacity to customize educational experiences and bolster health monitoring and intervention. In the educational sphere, the paper examines how AI technologies such as adaptive learning systems and AI-driven analytics can personalize instruction to fit the unique learning styles and paces of individual students. By analysing interaction data and learning outcomes, AI helps educators identify student strengths and weaknesses, enabling tailored educational pathways that enhance engagement and achievement. Furthermore, the paper explores AI's role in well-being, particularly its use in mental health applications where machine learning models predict mental health crises from patterns in user data. Additionally, AI's integration into physical health apps that track and analyse user activity and physiological data highlights its role in promoting healthier lifestyle choices and preventive healthcare practices. Despite these advancements, the deployment of AI is not without challenges. The paper addresses critical concerns related to data privacy, ethical dilemmas in AI decision-making, and the potential exacerbation of social inequalities through unequal access to AI technologies. These issues underscore the need for stringent ethical guidelines and policies to govern AI use. The paper concludes with recommendations for a collaborative approach among educators, healthcare professionals, and policymakers. This approach should focus on developing inclusive AI systems that ensure equitable benefits across all societal segments, thereby maximizing the potential of AI to serve as a force for good in education and personal well-being.
