Applied Ethics

Applied ethics is not “new” territory but instead has a long-standing tradition that dates back to antiquity, as evidenced in areas such as legal philosophy and political ethics. This field had been overlooked during the previous few centuries; however, the past few decades have seen a vibrant revival of this significant branch of ethics. This is particularly noticeable in the context of bioethical issues like euthanasia, abortion, and genetic technology. There are several key reasons why applied ethics has regained prominence.
