Introduction to Ethics

  • John-Stewart Gordon

摘要

The chapter provides a succinct overview of the categorization of ethics, beginning with its role within philosophy. It then proceeds to elucidate the concept of “ethics.” Subsequently, the chapter delineates the principal domains of philosophical ethics: basic ethics and applied ethics. The former is explored in greater depth, particularly its subdivisions: normative ethics and non-normative ethics. A brief discussion on applied ethics is reserved for the third chapter.
