摘要

Purpose-Reinventing a model integrating climate education into the education system empowers the next generation to become informed leaders and advocates for climate action. A holistic approach to addressing the climate crisis through education and sustainable nudging involves integrating knowledge, behavioural change, technology, community engagement, and policy advocacy. This comprehensive strategy aims to create a culture of sustainability that extends beyond individual actions to societal and systemic changes. This model must be designed to be inclusive, addressing the needs of different regions, communities, and socio-economic backgrounds. By involving various stakeholders, including educational institutions, industries, government bodies, and NGOs, the model can leverage diverse expertise and resources. The study literally fills up this gap being analysed through various cases practiced elsewhere globally, that our Indian Education model could impart and attune to new systems of promoting ‘Carbon Neutrality’, hence, fulfilling the long-term goal of the Government by 2070. As reported, the world is in danger of tackling a climate crisis (Global Warming, Ocean Acidification, polar ice Melt, etc.). Though, there could be a myopic loss aversion from the sides of educationists, government, politicians, academicians, or we as consumers; such unfilled scrapped troughs could be modified only through the collective efforts of we, stakeholders. Originality/Value-The paper is the first of its kind not ever published elsewhere and is original in nature.
