摘要

Performing cataract surgery in an eye with a preexisting trabeculectomy bleb poses unique challenges to the ophthalmic surgeon. A successful surgical strategy requires attention to detail and resourcefulness in order to address variations in bleb morphology and anterior segment anatomy. Careful preoperative planning, diligent intraoperative technique, and attentive postoperative care can optimize the functional outcome of the bleb and the short- and long-term visual outcomes in the patient.
