XEN Gel Stent Combined with Cataract Extraction/Intraocular Lens (CE/IOL)
摘要
The microinvasive glaucoma surgeries are a relatively new surgical option for patients with open angle glaucoma. The favorable safety profile, rapid recovery, and ab interno surgical approach along with modest intraocular pressure reduction make these procedures reasonable options for a wide variety of glaucomas. The XEN gel stent implant creates subconjunctival filtration to obtain a more moderate intraocular pressure reduction in much the way of a classic trabeculectomy while maintaining an improved safety and side effect profile. This procedure has excellent synergy with cataract surgery.
