The University Compton Source: Concept and Applications
摘要
The proposed university Compton X-ray source employs a compact racetrack microtron as the electron accelerator in conjugation with a commercially available laser system to generate a discrete set of energy values of highly directional X-rays ranging from 0.98 to 21.2 keV. The simplified requirements for both construction and maintenance of the facility, along with the reduced financial burden, and the versatility in research applications, make this class of laser-electron X-ray sources attractive fordevelopment.
