摘要

Online courses and educational networking present both challenges and opportunities for advanced learning educational content management. With the continuous evolution of global markets and the need for individuals to stay updated with the latest advancements to maintain competitiveness, the integration of sustainability into the curriculum becomes crucial. This integration ensures that future generations are equipped with the necessary knowledge and abilities to tackle sustainability challenges and build a more sustainable world. Particularly, the utilization of online courses has led to a shift in information-seeking behavior, resulting in a decreased demand for physical books and printed materials in traditional university libraries. This shift necessitates adjustments in collection development strategies, leading libraries to prioritize electronic resources to better support online learning. This paper includes a case study on the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-linked outcomes into advanced learning online courses. These courses, such as “Foundations of Insurance-linked Securities (ILS)”, “Investment Management”, “Project Management”, and others, were delivered to professionals from Europe, Americas, and Africa. The case study demonstrates the integration of knowledge domain ontology into the interdisciplinary course library to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of educational content updating and support teaching, learning, and research activities. By incorporating domain knowledge ontology, educators and course developers can effectively structure and organize relevant information across various disciplines to create courses that comprehensively address the interconnected issues and targets outlined in the SDGs. This approach enhances the coherence, integration, and overall impact of interdisciplinary courses focused on SDGs.
