How People Learn

This chapter builds on the PKK model and John Dewey’s ideas about the social context of learning and extends the concepts to all social learning situations. The meso level is modeled by a 4-node network concerning how people learn. As the central assertion of the book is that learning is a universal drive toward increased agency, self-awareness and self-regulation, the meso level agent is the team or organization and the implications for AI enhancing that agency are introduced here then detailed in Chap. 10 .
