Rare Tumors in Children

Rare tumors are divided in several categories: rare pediatric tumors, rare tumors that occur in children and adults, and adult tumors in children. It is usually difficult to treat these tumors in pediatric settings using only pediatric protocols. In this chapter we describe several of the most frequent malignant rare tumors amenable to surgery. It is important to realize that in the era of immune therapy to make sure that this is still up to date before treating, to avoid undertreatment.
