The Relationship Between Research Productivity and Teaching Effectiveness

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between research productivity and teaching effectiveness among university engineering faculty. The research method employed educational data mining to analyze data from three different sources. The first data source was the research project platform provided by government agencies, the second data source was administrative data from a university's engineering college, and the third data source was a self-developed questionnaire. The first dataset includes 69 teachers, the second dataset includes 81 teachers, and the third dataset includes 168 teachers, totaling 318 university engineering faculty members. The statistical analysis results showed that only the third data source can verify a positive relationship between research productivity and teaching effectiveness. No significant relationship was identified between research productivity and teaching effectiveness for the first and second data source.
