Nature as Inspiration in Learning Processes

Taking Nature as a model makes us rethink and reimagine the future of design and manufacturing processes, through alternatives to traditional teaching methods. SummerLab Biodesign is an international immersive learning program in the heart of Nature, located in the Natural Park of Redes (Asturias, Spain). Through various learning modules, we offer people different methodologies, tools, and resources to learn to observe Nature with curiosity and find alternatives in the design processes through creative experimentation. Biodesign School is a discovery and learning program for families and children in the fields of biodesign and biofabrication. Through various activities and experimental laboratories, young ones delve into the fascinating world of creativity, science, and technology, all while being in direct contact with Nature. In this paper, we explore the transformative potential of using nature as a model to revolutionize the future of design and manufacturing processes. We delve into innovative approaches that challenge traditional teaching methods, advocating for a more immersive and experiential style of learning.
