Justification and Calculation for Drive of a Small Utility Vehicle for All-Season Road Maintenance

Currently, more and more attention is being paid to the environmental problems of humanity. A large number of apartment buildings are being built at an accelerated pace in cities. In this regard, a huge number of intra-block driveways, courtyards, car parks and other paved areas are being created. At the same time, the question arises about the maintenance and improvement of new areas. In addition to the use of manual labor, municipal services of cities strive to use various municipal cleaning machines. In particular, small-sized universal machines equipped with replaceable working equipment. Due to the specifics of working in crowded areas, it is necessary to strive to reduce the noise impact on the environment, as well as reduce exhaust gas emissions at work sites. The article considers the main advantages of electrified small-sized utility vehicles, describes the method for calculating utility vehicles with an electric drive and provides justification for the requirements for the type of drive of an electric small-sized utility vehicle for all-season road maintenance based on traction calculation.
