Automatic Turning Modes Assignment System
摘要
The article describes one of the possible options for increasing the reliability of turning on numerical control machines in the conditions of machine-building digital factories, namely, a method for automatically assigning of turning modes based on information about the cutting process. ThermalEMF signal, a source of this information, is an integral machinability index of a particular pair ‘carbide tools—processed steel’. The method has been implemented as an automatic turning modes assignment system for machine tools equipped with Siemens numerical control systems, which is shown in the article. The possibility of using the considered method on equipped with other manufacturers CNC systems machine tools is also shown. At that time the connection of an automatic turning modes assignment system is implemented through methods other than those presented in the article. In any case there is no interference in the design of the machine or the program code of the numerical control system, which is extremely important for industrial enterprises that have machine equipment under the manufacturer’s warranty. The performance of the presented system has been confirmed experimentally, and the results are presented.
