Performance Enhancement of Car Body Structural Analysis and Optimization with Model Reduction in MSC Nastran
摘要
In the process of optimization of body structures or designs for advanced vehicle models in terms of structural and vibroacoustic (NVH) characteristics using finite element analysis systems, there is a need to solve high-dimension problems. This need is caused by a big number of nodes and elements of the body structure, a wide research frequency range, complexity of structures or designs and a high number of connecting elements. The computing costs for carrying out such kind of calculations lead to long computing time counting several hours or days. At the same time, problem adjustment, design solution selection and result processing are significantly complicated. Therefore, speeding up NVH calculations is a relevant task for automotive companies.
