“Sticking” Effect Simulation of a Pendulum, Mounted on Mechanical System Rotating Shaft

摘要

The research continues a series of works on studying “sticking” effect of a pendulum, mounted on mechanical system rotating shaft that were published in the ICIE 2018 and ICIE 2019 conferences proceedings. These papers presented numerical and experiment results on the pendulum “sticking” effect studies. In the paper, an approximate differential equations solution of a mechanical system with a pendulum on a rotating shaft was obtained. It turns, that the pendulum angular velocity depends on the natural frequencies of oscillations and damping of the mechanical system, in addition to the previously considered pendulum inertia characteristics and bearing friction coefficient. Numerical and graphical solutions of pendulum motion equations made it possible to evaluate the qualitative side of the phenomenon, including the influence of mechanical system damping on the pendulum “sticking effect” emergence.
