Evaluating the Influence of Fuel Compressibility on the Dynamics of the Tractor Diesel Fuel Supply Process
摘要
The fuel compressibility affects the fuel cycle characteristics. Compressibility determines the delay in fuel injection relative to the start of the stroke of the fuel pump plunger. The research is relevant due to necessity to evaluate the effect of fuel compressibility on the dynamics of the fuel supply process. The purpose of the study is to determine the fuel compressibility on the dynamics of the fuel supply process and to set the mathematical expression for the fuel compressibility coefficient. The object of the study is a diesel engine D-245.5S2, size 4ChN 11.0/12.5. The main objectives of the study are to theoretically determine the mathematical dependence of the compressibility coefficient when changing the design and technological parameters of the fuel supply equipment and to carry out verification. The research evaluates the influence of fuel compressibility on the fuel supply performance of a high-pressure fuel pump in a diesel engine. The authors of the article have used computational theoretical analysis. The analysis is based on the calculation method of full volumetric active fuel supply. The mathematical dependencies take into account the parameters of the cyclic feed. These parameters correspond to the operating condition of the entire fuel supply line. The authors have carried out bench studies of four types of motor fuels using an installation for testing and adjusting fuel equipment KI-22210-02M-15. As a result, the authors have evaluated the influence of fuel compressibility on the fuel supply process; determined dependences of the fuel compressibility coefficient on the density index of each type of fuel and established the relationship between the fuel compressibility coefficient and the total volumetric active cyclic fuel supply.
