Infective Endocarditis After TAVR
摘要
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is currently the gold standard in the management of severe aortic stenosis in higher risk surgical patients and recently has been extended to low-risk patients. Although the advantages of TAVR are many, it is also associated with a rare but lethal complication of TAVR infective endocarditis (TAVR-IE). This chapter reviews the epidemiology, risk factors, microbiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of TAVR-IE.
