Through a combination of antibiotics, source control, and surgical management, a tailored treatment plan will provide for the best short- and long-term outcomes for each patient. To be able to address this challenging pathology, one must be well versed in the operative exposures, as well as, autologous and nonautologous reconstruction options for mycotic arterial aneurysms in the neck, extremities, and abdomen.
