At the Crossroads of Innovation and Creativity: “e-Nabız”

Healthcare systems are increasingly adopting digital platforms to enhance patient engagement. One significant example of these digital platforms is e-Nabız, developed by the Turkish Ministry of Health. The e-Nabız system is categorized into treatment, prevention and health promotion, healthcare services, and support services, providing a range of services from tracking vaccinations to managing treatment processes. In addition to a thorough examination of this patient platform, this chapter discusses the potential use of e-Nabız as a tool for patients to manage their health. Furthermore, the chapter explores similar platforms used globally, emphasizing the common goal of digitizing health information. While acknowledging the benefits of such platforms, this chapter also highlights the challenges and potential risks. In conclusion, successful implementation of these patient platforms makes it possible to have and maintain safer, faster, and more efficient healthcare delivery.
