The Quest for an Authentic Culture of Human Rights

The context of application of this study covers only one chapter, namely this chapter. It is a short chapter. The purpose of this chapter is simply to discuss key research findings and their relevance to promoting a culture of human rights. The major findings of the study are highlighted to begin with. These include the concept of religion, and value systems. They are described here as determinants of the human rights attitudes of the young people sampled in Nigeria. These so-called determinants of human rights attitudes are discussed in a little more detail in order to draw some preliminary but worthwhile conclusions for the academia, ecclesia, and society, in the quest for the formation and promotion of an authentic culture of human rights. The justification for this arises from the empirical-theological research design chosen for this study.
