Research Design

With the conclusion of the theoretical perspectives, the context of discovery closes. The context of justification opens with the empirical part. Overall, the section consists of two chapters on research design and empirical results, namely this chapter and Chap. 6 respectively. They are dedicated to empirical analyses. This chapter, the fifth chapter, focuses on research design. The latter contains a detailed description of the study method. It begins with differentiated research questions and hypotheses. As a matter of fact, the research question and hypotheses have already been introduced in the general introduction and in the theoretical perspectives that have just been completed, but not specifically. Here they are turned into researchable questions. This is followed by a description of the data collection method and sample as well as the conceptual model of the study. In addition, the measuring instruments are presented and explained. This applies to all the concepts used in the empirical analyses. Then the chapter closes with a description of the method of analysis.
