Online Focus Group Experiences: Recommendations for Constructing of the Logic Model in School Health Program

The present study provides guidelines for the use of the focus group technique in the online format, based on the experience and reflections of the authors to construct the Logical Model of the School Health Program, carried out in Brazilian states, located in all regions of the country, synchronously via the virtual platform Google Meet. Among the aspects highlighted and discussed are the criteria for selecting participants, definition of the script for discussion, choosing the virtual platform, and the group’s leadership team. Among the difficulties found, the instability of the internet, difficulty accessing an institutional computer, as well as local power outages and difficulty accessing the network, can be limiting variables for a good understanding of communication and language emission. In this sense, the researcher must have clear, assertive and welcoming communication so that the group feels comfortable talking, with confidence and security that their listening will help in the construction of new actions and knowledge in their praxis.
