摘要

The contribution of Irish academic libraries to academic integrity continues to evolve. New opportunities and challenges continue to emerge with the growth of remote learning, fake news, contract cheating, generative artificial intelligence and open science. Initiatives led by organisations in Ireland such as Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), the National Academic Integrity Network (NAIN), the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning and the National Student Engagement Programme (NStEP) have reinvigorated the national academic integrity landscape, incorporating a focus on national and international knowledge sharing, open educational resources, cross-sectoral and cross-professional collaboration, student partnership and student success. This exploratory study provides a qualitative insight into the impact of the National Academic Integrity Network in the context of a private higher education institution in Ireland. The study seeks to understand the national academic integrity landscape in which librarians in Ireland work following the establishment and expansion of NAIN. Insights will inform librarians’ contributions to promoting academic integrity nationally and beyond.
