Spatial Statistics Analysis Using Microdata: An Application Agricultural Sector
摘要
The increasing availability of geo-referenced microdata has led to important changes in the production of official statistics. These changes were driven also by the need of policy makers to have information related to territorial characteristics. Agriculture is the sector that more than any other is linked to the territory and an analysis of the sector cannot be separated from spatial analysis. The aim of the research is to analyse, through spatial statistical analysis, the territorial connections of farms, identified at the microdata level. The study focuses on a cohort of farms identified at a microdata level, using statistical and administrative sources, which resist the economic changes of the last twenty years. Given the territorial peculiarities that characterize Italy, the analysis was carried out at the regional level in order to identify the territorial links of these companies within their geographical areas and to understand any behavioural differences between the Italian regions.
