Emotional Intelligence in the Context of Artificial Intelligence Development

This contribution attempts to identify some problematic aspects of developing emotional intelligence (EQ) skills in the era of digitalization. In the context of the active implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in all life spheres of our society, issues of updating professional profiles in various fields, requirements for professions, as well as issues of protection from manipulation both by developers and users of digital products based on AI are becoming increasingly relevant. All these issues relate in one way or another to the problem of a gap between theoretical developments in the field of formation and development of EQ and the actual practice of their application. Today we are dealing with a number of serious and interesting studies in the field of emotional intelligence, and insufficient elaboration of this issue in the context of frequently successive digital innovations, real business practice, practical experience in the formation and development of EQ. The purpose of this work is to analyze theoretical foundations of understanding EQ, some challenges that we face today in the context of the active development of AI, and the actual practice of business education, which in our country is a leader in the development of soft skills.
