Digital Opportunities for Sustainable Development Goals of Russian Companies

The research topic is of interest nowadays because the digital transformation influences most spheres of life in modern society. Digitalization of business processes promotes energy efficiency, optimization of production processes, saves labor, fuel and energy and other material and technical resources. The main objective of the study is to determine the relationship between digital technologies and prospects for achieving the sustainable development goals formulated by the United Nations. The most popular areas of digitalization for the Russian economy are the following: digitalization of basic business processes, product offerings and services; digital transformation of the human resource management system, development of competencies; management of financial reporting and document flow. The authors identified the preferred digital solutions for enterprises by the share of use (cloud services, big data processing technologies, digital platforms), and assessed the relationship between the components of the digital index of the economy and society and the sustainable development index. Standard correlation analysis of the data, conducted in Excel, showed a moderate positive relationship between the volume of online services and the sustainable development index. It is concluded that domestic companies pay the greatest attention to compliance with legislation on environmental protection and social responsibility.
