Digital Transformation of an Organization’s Business Processes: Economic and Information Aspects

The relevance of scientific research on the topic is determined by the fact that currently digital transformation affects various aspects of the activities of any company. The research purpose is to identify the most relevant digital technologies and information systems that allow improving business processes in warehousing and logistics. The problem is that not all decisions to implement digital technologies in the warehouse activities of business organizations can have a positive economic and financial result. The main research method in the presented contribution is a review of digital technologies that are offered by researchers and experts in order to improve the digital transformation of business processes in warehouse activities. The authors examined prerequisites for the implementation of a strategy of digital transformation of business processes in warehouse logistics and the economy of business organizations, some advantages and promising opportunities that the proposed digital technologies and information systems offer as part of improving the warehouse activities of business organizations are analyzed. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that the presented results of the advantages of digital technologies in warehousing activities can be used in the practical activities of business organizations interested in improving the digital transformation of business processes in warehousing and logistics management.
