Economic and Digital Aspects of the Formation of the Gig Economy

The objectives of the study are to consider the economic, social, digital and other aspects of the formation of the gig economy in the context of digitalization, which enables to consider the problem comprehensively, analyze and group the main aspects of the formation of the gig economy in the context of digitalization. The relevance of the study is determined by global transformations in the labor market associated with the development of the gig economy model based on digital platforms. Based on the analysis of a vast array of theoretical bases, the authors examine aspects of the development of the gig economy. Conclusions are drawn about the causes and consequences of the development of the gig economy model in the context of digitalization. This work is an attempt to determine the essential relations between these aspects and describe them. The main aspects of the formation of a platform employment model were identified and described, and an understanding of the essential links between the economic and digital aspects of the formation of the gig economy was proposed.
