Geostrategic Assessment of Digital Priorities of Transport Complex in a Border Region

The Strategy for Digital Transformation of the Transport Sector of the Russian Federation currently being implemented, among other objectives, envisages the development of the «seamless» international transport within the framework of cross-border cooperation, with the key role played by the ecosystem of the digital transport corridors of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The task of examining the existing possibilities and the indicated digital priorities of the transport complex of the regions of the EAEU border of Russia becomes especially urgent. In this regard, the purpose of this contribution is to assess the digital priorities in the field of transport development of the Samara region on the basis of geostrategic analysis and identification of their relevance to the current national goals and objectives of the Russian Federation in the field of transport, digitalization and spatial development. The scientific novelty of the study results is achieved by the principle of uniting the criteria of geostrategic, territorial and sectoral assessment of digital priorities of the transport complex of a border region, and the practical significance – by the tools and methodological capabilities of the developed assessment methods.
