Innovation’s Contribution to Economic Development and Competitiveness of Healthcare Organizations

Currently, the economic policy of the Russian Federation is aimed at developing and increasing the competitiveness of healthcare organizations. The relevance of this focus lies in the fact that health organizations are assigned not only a socially significant role, but also an economic role—they are an important participant in the mechanism of market relations. The quality of services provided by health organizations is reflected in the state of health of the country's population, which in turn affects the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the state's labor resources, their activity in national production and innovative activities. Innovations in economic development and increasing the competitiveness of healthcare organizations have far-reaching consequences for the quality and availability of services provided, the creation of the necessary infrastructure facilities, the level of qualifications of personnel, internal and international interaction, which makes them very relevant in modern healthcare. Innovation also plays a vital role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of health care delivery. The adoption of digital health technologies such as telemedicine, electronic medical records, and wearable devices can optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve patient outcomes. Using these technologies, healthcare organizations can increase their competitiveness as well as attract and retain patients.
