Transformation of the Russian Stock Market in Conditions of Sanctions and Digitization
摘要
This work provides an overview of the main trends characteristic of the Russian stock market. The Russian stock market is currently undergoing active development, with the Moscow Exchange being registered relatively recently (in 1992). In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of issuers, including companies from the high-tech (innovative) sector of the economy, an influx of private investors, the emergence and growth of the share of digital financial assets in the market, and an outflow of financial capital to decentralized platforms. Digital finance has simplified the procedures for attracting investments in projects. The contribution is dedicated to reviewing the key trends in the development and transformation of the Russian stock market in modern conditions of sanctions and digitization. The author highlights the key difficulties and challenges faced by regulators in the context of active development of decentralized finance, alternative investment instruments, increasing market volatility, including due to the growing number of private investors, and offers recommendations for addressing the identified issues.
