An Approach to Analyze Factors Affecting the Quality of ICT Teaching Based on Data Mining

Data mining is a powerful instrument in the revolution of artificial intelligence. Data contains important information that is rarely exposed or appropriately utilized. Mining data to elucidate patterns, and intelligent data analysis is an extremely valuable resource. It could result in meaningful perspectives and insightful data. Applying data mining to improve higher education is essential as Vietnam is now revolving its higher education system. In higher education, instructors play a key role in all courses so the quality of the courses heavily relies on the instructors. To aid in the assessment process, ultilize the data mining techniques to analyze and extract factors impacting instructors’ performance. To predict teacher performance, we first performed a survey of Information Technology students at Thu Dau Mot University. We then employ multiple classifiers, compare their accuracy, and identify significant characteristics of instructor performance.
