Recent Advances in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

This chapter draws back the curtains on the window of future. We take a peek at the history of AI, the present of AI in the healthcare system, and a glimpse of how things might be. There are numerous successful applications of AI in healthcare reported in the literature but due to space limitations, only a sample of successful applications are presented. A sample of book series, books, conference proceedings and book chapters are listed in the appendix for exploring this field further.
