The article analyzes legislation from two non-recognized States (NRS) in Eastern Ukraine, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) with respect to recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments. Both entities have legislation addressing judgements and the DPR provisory still applies Ukrainian procedural codes. International treaties on the recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial acts have not yet been concluded. It seems that recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments require the existence of an international treaty. The author explores the types of foreign judicial acts, the conditions for their recognition, the grounds for refusing recognition and enforcement. As has already been stated in the Preface, the editorial deadline for this book was on 31 December 2021, later developments are not addressed in this book including this chapter.

摘要
