“E PLURIBUS DUO”: Education

Education level—specifically, college vs. non-college—has become a dividing line in our national life. Americans with a college degree are happier in their marriages, more satisfied with their jobs and happier overall. Over time marriage has declined much more rapidly among non-college Americans, and a college degree has become more strongly related to upper class position.
