Conclusion: Lives in Motion and Their Future
摘要
This conclusive chapter of Lives in motion aims to move beyond the conclusions, shoring up each individual chapter of the book in order to pose a final reflection hinged on three consequential arguments, concerning: (1) The role transnational marriages play in sustaining a process of population-making that crosses national borders; (2) The circulation of affective resources as social capital that advantages migrants to a different extent in family settlement efforts; and (3) The structure of reproductive opportunities that selectively underpins migrants’ movement and the need to rethink how demography and nationality are entangled.
