Conclusion and Recommendations

摘要

This chapter after analyzing six CPEC projects in both rural and urban areas of Pakistan reach to the conclusion that the delivery of better health or education infrastructure or other public goods is not tied to the core objectives of CPEC projects. The focus on promise, expectation, and creation of economic opportunities (SDG 8) is a common thread running through all projects in Punjab, AJK and KP, however, there is least of an attention given to health and education sectors (SDG 3 and 4) in CPEC. The study recommends giving due consideration to the people’s needs in the areas of health (SDG 3), education (SDG 4) and economic wellbeing (SDG 8) while implementing various projects. Such an approach would ensure sustainable development of the CPEC through making it more inclusive and people-centric project.
