摘要

A repeated measures design is a type of experimental design used in research to study the effects of various treatments or conditions on the same group of experimental units or subjects. Each experimental unit is exposed to treatments being studied, which allows for the within-subject comparison of responses. This design is particularly useful for reducing error variance by using the same experimental units (subjects) across conditions, variability between individuals is minimized, making it easier to detect true treatments effects. Repeated measure deigns offer several advantages for studying changes within subjects over time, but they also require careful consideration in choosing the best covariance structure for the data. These covariance structures are essential for properly analyzing and interpreting data in repeated measures experiments.
