Introduction

Why humility, hope, and humor? And what do they have to do with leadership? Two very good questions to ask yourself as you open this book. I have been involved in leadership in some way since I was seven and joined my first Cub Scout pack. Most of us can look back to a very early time in our lives and see examples of leadership where we either served as leaders or served as followers. Ever since this time, I have been intrigued by what made leaders successful, especially by what made our most well-known leaders great.
