Investigating and Managing Security Threats in Hospitals: Case Study

  • Mahmoud Bakkar

摘要

Many healthcare providers are integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into their business operations or equipment, such as X-rays and ultrasound machines. This pressure leads to healthcare professionals needing to understand security threats and management models. To measure the healthcare group's perceptions of IS threats and its management models, this research study focuses on the following topics: understanding how information security (IS) threats are perceived and understanding IS management mitigates those threats. The study findings show different perceptions of the IS definition, present different threats to IS, discuss different management perceptions, and highlight how different healthcare groups perceive the IS definition, threats, and management. The paper is structured into an introduction, followed by the research questions after a literature review, the study methodology, the analysis, the study findings, and then presented the results, followed by a discussion, ended with a conclusion, and a reference list.
