摘要

This chapter describes basic packing techniques to efficiently utilize single instruction multiple data (SIMD) and operations over SIMD-based elements. The primitives described are used to implement a simple matrix-vector multiplication use case. Subsequent chapters build upon these techniques to create more sophisticated and general packing schemes.
