Informing and Consulting—Practical Processes and Structures for Employee Voice
摘要
One of the philosophical foundations of collective employment relations is that engagement with employees and their representatives is vital for successful organisations. Therefore, building effective dialogue throughout the organisation, from senior leaders to local managers with union and employee representatives, is a business-critical issue. In this chapter we will review different approaches to the enactment and delivery of collective employee voice. These range from information sharing to more participative forms of consultation and co-determination. We advocate the development of joint strategies to facilitate voice and provide practical examples of how this can be achieved. Furthermore, we also discuss the importance of developing voice in a way that promotes inclusion, diversity and psychological safety.
