Fecal Microbiota Transplantation
摘要
Supportive non-antibiotic therapies have a unique place in human healthcare regimen. The potential of human gut microbiota as therapeutics has led to the development of novel microbial therapies. The interest has increased markedly in fecal microbiota transplantation to reinstate the disrupted intestinal microbiota. The fundamental purpose of fecal bacteria and fecal viral transplantation is to transfer medically certified microbiome from a healthy donor to intestinal tract of recipients. The FMT rejuvenates and supports the intestinal microbiota including virome and the consequential pro-health gut microbial activities.
