Probiotics to Prevent Lifestyle and Metabolic Diseases
摘要
Metabolic disorders are the autosomal recessive health disorders mediated by abnormal biochemical pathway reactions which negatively affect the body’s physiology and activities and utilization of macronutrients. Metabolic disorders are currently the worldwide health challenges owing to increase in their prevalence. Dietary lipid-induced cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), hypertension, and type 2 diabetes (T2DM) are among the globally predominant metabolic health problems. CVD is a key cause of adult human deaths, especially in Western world. Compared to people with normal total cholesterol, the people with high cholesterol and hyperlipidemia are at high risk of CVD-associated health problems. Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH)Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) further aggravates the risk of developing CVDs at earlier stages of life. Dietary interventions to minimize the metabolic disorders emphasize on foods consisting of low amount of saturated fats and fermentable sugars and increased quantities of plant fiber and fermented foods.
