Emerging Alternative Therapies: Health-Promoting Microbes

Conventional antimicrobial therapies are occasionally inadequate to protect against infections principally due to emergence of multidrug resistance among pathogens. Drug resistance and the resistant microorganisms originating because of anthropogenic activities and industrialization and commercial livestock farming have posed serious health threats and have increased the healthcare costs. It is therefore imperative to advance the alternative approaches to support prevailing health treatments. Microbial-based therapies, antibody-drug conjugates, and phage therapies are of huge importance. One health concept has attracted the attention of as a multidimensional approach to provide a healthy environment and living beings.
