摘要

Pediatric palliative care (PPC) has been endorsed by several pediatric health care organizations. As the field continues to grow, so does PPC-focused investigation. Research regarding PPC can be conducted via multisite studies, database utilization, and randomized control trial design. The field of PPC continues to expand in new and exciting ways. Simulation training increases competence and confidence in palliative care skills, such as delivering bad news and managing conflict. It can be a powerful learning tool, especially for providers who may not encounter many situations requiring these skills in their training. PPC providers are also uniquely positioned to promote and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion at an institutional level. PPC will continue to grow and improve as equitable access is expanded and inclusion of under-represented identities in the field is improved.
