Industry Member and Academic Engineering Experiences

High school, undergraduate, and graduate degrees are important aspects of a person’s experience entering a profession; however, it is equally as important to ensure that once a person enters a working profession, the conditions are conducive to their retention. This chapter will examine the experience of women practicing engineering in industry and academic settings to understand what particular factors are affecting their experiences in these environments.
