A Multi-campus Exploration of Gender Differences in Undergraduate Engineering

The purpose of this chapter is to build upon the results of the pilot study that was distributed to students at one university (see Chap. 3 ). Based on the results, the survey questions were modified and distributed to an additional four universities. This chapter will further identify the factors that are contributing to the retention of women engineers, with a particular focus on the factors occurring during students’ undergraduate education.
